Fall is just around the corner and I recently started adding cozy vibes around our home…
It’s almost time for pumpkins, bonfires, and changing leaves. I updated a few things in our Primary Bedroom for the upcoming season and I wanted to share my print combinations with you! Adding in touches of warm tones with printable art is an affordable way to decorate for the season. I’m sharing my print combinations along with a few tips to create your own!

No.1 Mix Warm Tones + Sketches
Layering replicas of oil paintings in rich warm tones with black and white sketches create a combination that is hard to resist. I like to start with choosing landscapes or portraits that have the season’s colors or theme. Reflecting on the current season in your artwork is a quick way to set the mood. Pairing with a sketch allows the eye to “breathe” and highlights important aspects of your painting.
No.2 Landscapes or Stilllife
My place of inspiration for selecting artwork is the outdoors. I bring autumn landscapes into my home or still-life shots of the current season’s bounty. Displaying painted pears or apples instantly says Fall.
No.3 Black + White Prints
Sketches or Engravings highlight the most loved part of the season. Choose a drawing of a tree branch to pair with a colorful treeline or a sketched pear with a depiction of an orchard. Look for sketches that can zoom in on special moments happening in the colorful prints you choose.
No.4 Vary in Size + Orientation
Do not select all the prints in the same size. Pair small sketches with larger landscapes. Think about the details in the print. Will a landscape be clearly seen if it is only 3×5? Vary your orientation too. Mixing vertical and horizontal prints creates movement and allows the eyes to travel through your collections. Let your collection tell a story.
Fall Print Combinations
I’ve paired together some of my favorite curated vintage-inspired printable art. The layered collections would be beautifully displayed on an entryway table, as shelf decor, or on a dresser. Leaning the pieces against the wall and allowing the frames to layer on one another makes for a beautiful statement.
The larger collections would be the perfect fall gallery wall. Hang them in varying sizes and orientations in your kitchen or dining room will instantly add this season’s cozy feel.

Now I’m completely in the mood for a hot cup of coffee sitting by the fire. If only it wasn’t 90 degrees outside!
